Comtech finalizes $9.1 million contract for its 5G Xypoint vMLC

Comtech Telecommunications Corp., leading firm in providing safe and extremely reliable locations, navigation, communication technologies and public safety recently announced that the Location Technologies Group which is a division of Commercial Solutions segment of Comtech has reportedly finalized a contract valued at $9.1 million during the third fiscal quarter of the year 2020, for the 5G Xypoint vMLC, also called Mobile Location Center.

Apparently, this will help enable a large variety of location based Services that shall include value-added services and public safety applications along with a first tire mobile network operator in the U.S. The contract term has been said to be for 5 years.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Board, Fred Kornberg said that the company is looking forward to working with a customer who has been long-standing and has also leveraged the location tech platform of Comtech in order to deploy several dynamic applications contributing to the company’s success.

Kornberg also said that the firm has a proven track record of every long-term relationship with the customers wherein the location technology is used to serve as a support for several offerings for all the mobile network operators.

For the record, Comtech Telecommunications Corp.’s Location Technologies group is essentially a renowned provider of exact device location, messaging solutions and mapping for public safety, enterprise solutions and mobile network operators.

According to the sources familiar with the matter, the platforms of this firm can map, message, locate and track and are being sold across the world to government agencies, Fortune 100 enterprises, and the mobile network operators.
