LevelTen Energy unveils new data platform ‘LevelTen MarketPulse’

LevelTen Energy, a provider of transaction infrastructure for buyers, sellers, advisors, and financiers in the renewable energy economy, has recently introduced a new cloud-based software - LevelTen MarketPulse.

According to a press release, MarketPulse offers instant access to real-time data and analytics based on real market activity in Europe and North America.

It allows clean energy developers, investors, and buyers to examine the market quickly and make prompt and better decisions with the help of PPA and renewable project data from the largest hub for clean energy transactions.

Speaking on the development, Prasun Chaudhury, director of Data Solutions at LevelTen Energy, said that MarketPulse enhances their firm’s platform and offers increased transparency in the PPA landscape.

It will enable energy sellers to price their PPAs more effectively, investors to conduct comprehensive due diligence and inform financial models and buyers to compare and benchmark price offers quickly.

Mr. Chaudhury says that in today’s volatile energy market, instant access to new data is way more critical, which has been transformed quickly in the last two years.

He further stated that renewable PPA price deals have witnessed a surge of around 30% in North America and 47% in Europe since last year, demonstrating how energetic the market is.

Apparently, obtaining PPA price data earlier was quite challenging due to several reasons like offered price shared between buyers and sellers directly and long RPF processes, which resulted in outdated prices by the time they were finalized.

In addition, not having access to data from a centralized marketplace made it struggling for the clean energy buyers, investors, and sellers to get the data needed for analysis, modeling, and benchmarking.

LevelTen MarketPulse is driven by data from the LevelTen Energy Marketplace, an online PPA marketplace that links buyers and sellers. With participation from more than 90% of renewable energy developers in North America and more than 60% of developers in Europe, LevelTen offers a complete view of the PPA market to MarketPulse subscribers.
