Eberhart Capital inks strategic deal to buys M. J. Van Damme Trucking

Eberhart Capital LLC, the Scottsdale, Arizona-based private equity company, has acquired M. J. Van Damme Inc in a USD 20-USD 50 million deal. This investment is the third construction purchase by the company in 2020.

Eberhart Capital, LLC's current portfolio comprises businesses in the construction, logistics, manufacturing, and energy sectors across the United States. Acquiring M. J. Van Damme Inc. would be mutually advantageous for both of these businesses as it would offer access to a large construction service provider in addition to their quarrying and trucking experience.

Eberhart said in the statement that M. J. Van Damme plays a significant role in the region, concentrating on the infrastructure and maintenance of mining sites, as well as on the management of preparing and transporting materials. The business plays an important role in the construction sector by taking advantage of waste resources to fulfill construction needs.

The firm cited an example of a paper mill that generates paper waste. The business may use the waste product as a binder in many land recovery projects. Hence, the method lowers prices for their clients and avoids waste materials from being discarded.

M. J. Van Damme Inc.'s 130 staff members primarily offer specialist construction support services, trucking and distribution, building supplies, fugitive dust prevention, snow clearing and maintenance activities, land acquisition, and discovery for drilling. The company has supported mining, farming, and civil development in the Midwest, like the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Northern Wisconsin over the last 20 years.

Jim Delmont, M. Vice President. J. Van Damme Inc. said they are looking forward to extending their presence into new markets through this chance to be part of Eberhart Capital. Through increased exposure to funding, relevant services, and experience, the collaboration would help current and potential customers.
