Competentia acquires Dare to strengthen its presence in APAC

Competentia, a Norway-based workforce management and recruiting company, has recently announced that it has signed an acquisition deal with Dare, a contract/staffing agency with over 30 years of experience in recruiting. Reportedly, this acquisition will help Competentia to expand its footprint across the Asia Pacific region, allowing it to add global office locations in Singapore.

According to reliable sources, Dare's clientele includes blue chip firms from the mining, oil & gas, renewables, manufacturing, and infrastructure industries. The organization has built a rich history by providing skilled professionals for both international and domestic projects while maintaining an annual revenue of almost 270 MNOK. (US $28m).

The acquisition will strengthen Competentia's long-held presence in Australia and bring new opportunities in Singapore as it adds the country to its list of global office locations. The move develops new opportunities to expand the company’s market share in one of the busiest regions across the world for project staffing in the construction, engineering, technology and manufacturing sectors.

Speaking on the move, Jayden Wallis, Chief Executive Officer, Competentia, said that this comes as an exciting time for people involved with their firm. They see this acquisition as a possibility to deepen its roots in the APAC.

The firm predicts that it would witness noteworthy growth in the job market as it emerges out of the COVID-19 pandemic and hopes to be well-prepared for its clients that are looking for new opportunities in the post COVID-19 era.

Meanwhile, Competentia wants to gain recognition as the go-to workforce solution provider for clients and contractors, and this acquisition would allow them to reach this goal. With increased capability and scale, Competentia will be able to leave a lasting mark on the APAC market. Additionally, the company is also bringing some of the capable and talented people in its team, added Wallis.
