ServiceNow, a renowned California-based software company, has reportedly announced that it has teamed up with the employee travel management arm of ride-hailing firm, Uber; Uber for Business, to provide employees with a safer means of transport to work as soon as the lockdowns are lifted.

Under the partnership, Uber’s ride-hailing services would be integrated into the ServiceNow Workplace Safety Management app to provide workers the ability to book rides to commute to and from their respective workplaces.

The novel integration further builds upon the most recent updates rolled out to ServiceNow Safe Workplace suite on the basis of real-time feedback received from the company’s customers across the world as they start to focus on workplace activation and planning, which also includes the Juniper Mist integration to improve contact tracing via using AI-powered Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth LE networks.

Through the Workplace Safety Management app, which is offered under the Safe Workplace suite of ServiceNow, Uber for Business feature offers a new “Book Uber” option that allows employees to easily coordinate their respective Uber rides when commuting to work through their smartphones.

Employees can also schedule their arrival times, manage health screenings, and reserve workspaces through the smartphone app. The novel integration follows Uber’s latest launch of new policies and features to effectively help protect the overall health as well as safety of both the drivers and riders.

Within just two months after the first release of the Safe Workplace suite, including contact tracing apps, employee readiness feedback, workplace safety management, as well as employee health screening, over 600 enterprises have downloaded these apps. The organizations include Coca Cola European Partners, Uber, the State of North Carolina, AmeriGas, and BankUnited,.

Sr. vice president, employee workflow products at ServiceNow, Blake McConnell stated that Uber is offering practical and flexible transportation options for enterprises as well as their employees. The new integration of Uber for Business would help businesses manage and adapt workforce and workplace readiness. Now, through the Now Platform, the company is helping its customers resolve a unique challenge.
