Leading web security solutions provider, Sectigo, has reportedly entered into a global reseller agreement with high-assurance operating systems supplier, Green Hills Software. The partnership enables Green Hills Software in the effective delivery of Sectigo’s Icon Labs Embedded Firewall, blended and optimized for utilization with Green Hills’ INTEGRITY RTOS (real-time operating system) and its embedded high-performance v4/v6 TCP/IP host and router networking stack.

As opined by Icon Labs Vice President of IoT/Embedded Solutions, Alan Grau, most cyberattacks on embedded systems stay undetected until it gets too late and, therefore, early detection of these attacks is critical, given that it maximizes the safety of products while helping to prevent the disruption of services, loss of IP, and attacks proliferating to other parts of the network or system.

The integration of Green Hills Software with the company’s embedded firewall integration with their mature and proven INTEGRITY RTOS will deliver global customers with a powerful combination of security technology and experience that sounds the alarm, then halts the attack, added Grau.

The collaboration reportedly reinforces Green Hills Software’s internet-connected platform solutions with the extended networking security requirements in the present day connected systems that are responsible for critical functions in transportation, automotive, medical, industrial, and mil/aero sectors.

Green Hills Software’s Vice President of Business Development, Dan Mender, has expressed that Green Hills is thrilled to add this additional cybersecurity capacity to its portfolio of market-leading foundational security offerings. Mender has further added that the protection of vital internet-connected solutions is extremely important for the company’s clientele’s ability in designing purpose-built secure solutions in the areas of transportation, mil/aero, automotive, industrial, and medical sectors.

Further, Green Hills’ INTEGRITY RTOS microkernel architecture has been designed for catering to critical embedded systems demanding real-time determinism, separation, and security. The operating system’s separation architecture facilitates in the safe and secure partition of software deployed at various levels of criticality, add reports.
