Amdocs-AWS enter agreement to accelerate CSPs journey to the cloud
Amdocs, a leading software and service provider for communications & media companies, has recently announced a multi-year strategic collaboration deal with Amazon Web Services. The deal has been entered with an objective to provide integrated, cloud-native BSS (Business Support Systems) offerings and serve the needs of premium CSPs (Communications Service Providers) across the globe.
Following the agreement, AWS and Amdocs will provide CSPs access to an open, cloud-native, and dynamic digital service portfolio, which will significantly ensure a faster time-to-market as well as increased agility to meet the evolving customer needs. As a part of this deal, AWS will serve as the preferred cloud provider of Amdocs to drive its internal IT transformation, enable new operating models & reduced operating costs, as well as help transform the business to the cloud.
As per the statement made by Amdocs’ CEO & President, Shuky Sheffer, the company and AWS are highly focused on accelerating CSPs journey to the cloud. These two companies have developed a unique carrier-grade cloud portfolio by leveraging their combined cloud capabilities, global scale, and industry-leading products. It has shown excitement about the recent collaboration, as increased adoption of IoT, 5G, and cutting-edge technologies that monetize and power both consumer & enterprise experiences has been witnessed.
The latest agreement expands on the existing collaboration between Amdocs and AWS to allow the BSS & service automation portfolio of Amdocs to natively run on AWS, thereby enabling CSPs to rapidly introduce new services, offer highly secure cloud operations, as well as deliver proven scalability. In addition, the two companies will collaborate to develop and promote a range of services to aid Amdocs customers in migrating and modernizing their systems, while utilizing the best-in-class cloud capabilities.
Moreover, CSPs can benefit from the global infrastructure & expansive set of cloud services of AWS, along with the proven carrier-grade BSS, automation solutions and services provided by Amdocs to rapidly deliver a wide range of business benefits.
