Gurgaon-based health-tech startup Pristyn Care has reportedly secured USD 53 million during a Series D funding round which was led by U.S.-based investment company Tiger Global Management LLC.
According to reliable sources, the funding round also saw participation from existing investors such as Hummingbird Ventures, Epiq Capital Investment Advisory LLP, and Sequoia Capital. The company valuation has now surpassed USD 550 million.
These fresh investments will be used to expand Pristyn Care’s services in medical technology as well as to develop various types of minimally invasive procedures, further allowing it to reinforce its presence in India. For the record, Pristyn Care was founded in 2018 by Dr. Garima Sawhney, Harsimarbir Singh, and Dr. Vaibhav Kapoor.
It consists of a patient-first approach and provides a variety of different end-to-end support services such as complete health insurance, claim processing, diagnostics support, hospital admission paperwork from home, medicine delivery at home, cab pick up and drop for surgery, and free consultation services after surgery.
Dr. Vaibhav, co-founder of Pristyn Care reportedly stated that the fresh investments can allow the healthcare startup to focus on modern medical technologies in order to offer state-of-the-art treatment options to patients.
Meanwhile, Harsimarbir Singh, co-founder of Pristyn Care said in a comment that the company will also invest in brand building, to treat new diseases, serving international patients seeking treatment in India, and expand its services to more towns and cities.
Scott Schleifer, a representative from Tiger Global Management LLC said that Pristyn-Care has emerged as one of the leading consumer-centric surgery providers since it is known to use innovative technologies to provide improved experiences and outcomes.
Pristyn Care currently offers surgeries for more than 50 diseases including phimosis, piles, gynecology, varicose veins, hernia, gallstones, sinus, and DVT among others by using modern medical technology such as laser and laparoscopy.
